A Listserv is a single email address that connects you to an entire on-line community, allowing you to receive group messages from other members straight to your in-box. Of course, you can also send or reply to messages via this email method. We use Yahoo Groups for our listserv. 

Only post messages that are relevant to the purpose of the listserv. Also, remember there's a real person behind each message post! Please be considerate of other people’s feelings and opinions. Let’s support and uplift our community!

Go to the listserv page of this website, click on the link for the listserv you'd like to join. You'll be directed to the listserv home page at Yahoo. Just click on the blue link that says “Join this Group!” Then you’ll need to follow a few steps…

Step 1: Please note that if you don't already have a Yahoo account, you'll need to register for one. You'll have the option to receive group messages at an alternate address if you choose.

Step 2: This is your chance to indicate how you'd like to receive group messages!

Individual Email: This option allows you to receive each group message and special notice, as soon as it's posted, directly to your inbox. [Please note: Our listserv tends to be very active, which means you may receive a large number of emails if you choose this option.]

Daily Digest: You'll only receive one email per day with this option. It'll contain a compilation of up to 25 group messages.

Special Notices: Choose this option if you only want to receive email from Harlem4Kids.

Web Only: You won't receive group messages with this option. But, you'll still be able to read messages by clicking on the listserv picture or link on this page. You'll be directed to the listserv home page, where you'll be able to click on “Messages” in the left-hand column.

Yes...you'll need to log in to the listserv home page at Yahoo. An easy way to get there is to return to the listserv page of this website, then click on the link for the listserv you'd like to search. Once there, click on “Messages” in the Left-hand column. Type your key word in the dialogue box (above the messages) and click “Search”.
